Luke Roberts  - Sports Star of the Year!

Luke Roberts has won the 2004 Advertiser / Channel 7 Sports Star of the Year Award.  Amongst a star-studded field, Luke was crowned as the top athlete in his home state of South Australia.

The award following an outstanding year in 2004, where Luke was a member of the World Champion, World Record Holder and Gold Medallist Australian team pursuit quartet.  He also finished a creditable fifth in the individual pursuit in Athens, as well as having success on the road.

As Luke was unable to be present to accept the award in person (he was racing Tour Med), his father Wayne accepted on his behalf, stating the award for Luke was 'fantastic.'
