After more than ten years, the journey of Luvo is coming to an end. As the world’s first matrix LED pendant with app-controlled light direction, it marked a milestone in smart lighting. 10 Years of Luvo – A Product That Redefined Light

Luvo was the world’s first pendant lamp with a matrix of over 300 controllable LEDs. With the companion app, users could "paint with light," shaping illumination throughout the room. What started as a Kickstarter campaign in 2015 became an internationally awarded design innovation – with over 9,000 units sold worldwide.

Now, ten years later, the Luvo story comes to a close. But not without a proper finale.

Art Meets Technology: A Light and Sound Performance by Boicut in Vienna

On June 26, 2025, we’ll celebrate Luvo – and say goodbye. Together with Vienna-based artist Boicut, we invite you to an immersive evening at ATLAS Bar & Art Gallery. Expect a unique light performance, a custom artwork, and your final chance to purchase Luvo at 50% off.

Real-Time Art, Sound & Light

Boicut, known for collaborations with Samsung, Ruinart, and Converse, is the creative mind behind this event.

At the heart of the evening: a custom painting, accompanied by a one-hour live sound performance – in dialogue with the light of Luvo. The installation explores how light transforms color, space, and emotion. This event is a celebration of Luvo’s legacy – and a tribute to how inspiring light can be, in art, in rooms, and in everyday life.

What Remains: Our Know-How for Occhio

Since becoming part of Occhio in 2021, our Vienna-based team has operated as LR Innovation Lab – now fully responsible for the engineering at the luxury lighting brand. With Luvo coming to an end, all of our smart lighting expertise is being carried forward into new Occhio innovations.
